the top drawer on her dresser, ''and hand me my Chapstick." |

Josie complied, and D.J. painted on what she thought was chapstick with a quick flick of her wrist. Glancing at her reflection one last time, she narrowed her eyes and leaned closer. Then she peered at the tube of "Rapid Rust" lipstick in her hand. "Josie, you did that on purpose." |

"Oh, leave it on. You look lovely with just a little color. It won't kill you to wear lipstick." |

D.J. hated to admit it, but she did look better. The touch of lipstick made her eyes look brighter and her skin seem almost golden. She shrugged and stuck the tube into the pocket of her pants. "I don't want to look lovely. McCall's going to think I'm trying to seduce him." |

"Why? He's attractive. Single. So are you. Go with your feelings." |

"I don't have any feelings." |

D.J. tilted her head and stared at her reflection. She did look good. Pretty. Soft. Feminine. |
"What the hell?" D.J. asked herself. |

Her reflection, along with the angel at her shoulder, agreed. |
